UPDATE TO SERVICE LOCATIONS
Beginning Monday, May 6 through Friday, June 28, Reisterstown Road Library will offer Chromebook pickup appointments. (Appointments are available to book now, but pick up will not begin until May 6).
The final day for appointments at Southeast Anchor Library will be Friday, May 3.
Baltimore City residents 18 years or older who meet qualifications may participate in this program to receive a free Chromebook.
One (1) device per household.
Must live in Baltimore City to participate.
To check if you live within Baltimore City limits, you may enter your address into this Google map.
In order to pick up your Chromebook, you must provide:
- Photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, work or government ID, passport, etc.)
- Proof of Baltimore City residence (current address)
- Proof of one of the following qualifications listed below
Qualifications (must meet one)
1. Households with an income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- $30,120 for a household of 1
- $40,880 for a household of 2
- $51,640 for a household of 3
- $62,400 for a household of 4
- Or $10,760 more for each additional household member
2. Households enrolled in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)
3. Households that participate in government assistance programs such as:
- Child receives free or reduced-price school lunch
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- Medicaid
- Pell Grant (current award year)
- SNAP, formerly Food Stamps
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
- WIC
Examples of proof (include, but not limited to):
- Proof of participation in government assistance program:
- DHS letter confirming assistance program listed above
- Housing assistance letter
- Medicaid card
- P-EBT card, progress report/report card, or other proof of child's enrollment in a school that provides free or reduced-price lunch
- Pell Grant award letter or student aid balance showing Pell Grant
- SNAP card
- SSI benefit letter
- Veterans benefit letter
- WIC card
- Internet bill showing the ACP discount
- First page of your tax return or most recent pay stubs listing pay rate & number of dependents
Appointment times vary by day and location. Appointments are offered at Central, Orleans Street, and Southeast Anchor Library.
Typical hours are (excluding holidays):
- Monday - Thursday: 11 am - 5 pm
- Friday: 11 - 4:30 pm

If you are filling out the appointment form for someone else, please enter the name of the person intending to pick up or receive the device. Please make sure they meet qualifications before scheduling.
Cancellations due to emergency closures or inclement weather will be sent to the email or phone number provided.
